Directors’ Speaking Club

Andrew Brammer Public Speaking Trainer and Coach

Directors’ Speaking Club

There is nothing like the Directors’ Speaking Club. Imagine a space where you can develop your public speaking skills in a supportive, relaxed and sociable environment with other Directors and a national award-winning Public Speaker.

For individual Directors, and strictly limited to a maximum of 12 members, the Club meets in the evening. You will get opportunities to prepare individual and impromptu presentations and gain feedback from each other. It doesn’t matter what your competency is as a Public Speaker. You will improve and develop a higher level of expertise with my support as your Public Speaking Trainer and Coach.

Andrew Brammer Public Speaking Trainer and Coach

“Being complete novices at public speaking, we can’t thank Andrew enough as, through humour and sound advice, he has given us the confidence to go out in front of an audience and actually enjoy the occasion! We all agreed it was one of the most inspirational workshops we’d ever attended.”

What is the Directors’ Speaking Club?

The Directors’ Speaking Club is unique. There is certainly nothing like it in East Anglia where I do the majority of my Public Speaking Training and Coaching.

Being a Club member will help you become an even more powerful communicator. Take your public speaking to the next level through presenting in a relaxed setting with other Directors and with my input as your Trainer and Coach. You will get many opportunities to not only deliver prepared individual and impromptu presentations but also be evaluated by and gain invaluable feedback from each other.

Speaking opportunities for Directors’ Speaking Club members include:

  • Between at least 6 to 8 Prepared Speeches (up to 15 to 20 minutes long) a year to a closed group of Directors in the Club.
  • The scope for longer speeches if Club members want this.
  • The opportunity to speak at external events organised by The Speaking Director.

Each meeting (20 per year) is normally held a fortnight apart in Norwich. There will also be specialist workshops about key elements of public speaking, including from guest experts and speakers. No matter where you are starting from, you will have a wonderful opportunity to stretch yourself creatively and develop your public speaking skills.

Where else, as a Director will you have the platform to develop your public speaking skills, and be given so many opportunities to speak?

How the Directors Speaking Club will help you develop as a Public Speaker

If you are new to public speaking and not so comfortable, I will help you be more confident.

If you are already a good Public Speaker, I will push you to make you even better and scale new heights. I will train, coach and guide you – no matter what stage you are at in your journey.

I will also challenge you and, if you wish, take you out of your comfort zone. We often learn best when challenged to rise to the occasion. But absolutely no pressure.

I help you find and develop what works best for you so that public speaking comes naturally. The best possible speaking style is your own. With my support you will discover your authentic voice and learn how to balance this with giving a company message. I’m a huge fan of authenticity – must be the old punk rocker in me! I will encourage you to Be Bold, Be Confident, Be Different.

You will also be able to learn and work on advanced speaking techniques and experiment in a supportive closed group of Directors. Club members have the opportunity to speak at one of my organised speaking events which will hugely add to your experience and learning.

Learn Public Speaking with other Directors

You will learn in the relaxed social setting of the Directors’ Speaking Club.

My experience over the years has shown that the learn by doing method is by far and away the most successful and effective way of learning public speaking. I use this technique on my Public Speaking Courses. I have seen and trained people who have gone from shrinking and terrified violets to being phenomenal public speakers and presenters, brimming with self-confidence. Also, if you are already good at public speaking and presentations, I will help you to become even better.

In my 41 years in industry, public speaking is by far and away the best business skill I have ever learned. Speaking from my own experience, not only as a highly successful Director but also as an award-winning Public Speaker and Storyteller, it has opened up many opportunities and helped me to develop as a leader.

The best leaders, the best managers, the best motivators, the best at promoting their businesses, are those who can speak and present effectively in public.
