I can meet participants before the course starts and then tailor the content to suit the group, sharing the tools and techniques that have helped me to speak with confidence. 

There is a tendency for people to only focus on the public speaking but there are so many elements that go into making it go to plan. If you think of the speech itself as the top of the mountain, I provide everything you need to get you there and present effectively on the peak. You will learn the art of preparation for public speaking including the value of getting to the venue early, how to address an audience, having a backup plan for PowerPoint, how to plan your presentation, what to do if you are put on the spot and so much more.

You can only learn public speaking and presenting by doing, which is a central to my courses, not just from books or by someone standing there telling you how to do it. It’s a bit like learning to drive a car or learning to ride a bike. You get in the car, have lessons with an instructor, make mistakes and learn from these. You then improve, become proficient, pass your test, and learn to drive on your own until it becomes second nature. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride!

There are no rules on my Public Speaking Courses

My first rule of speaking and presenting is – there are no rules – there are only public speaking tips and techniques to follow. I will help you find what works best for you.

You are unique and while you need to learn good practice, you don’t want to sound just like everyone else. I will help you develop and polish your own speaking style.

You will learn public speaking over time

You will not learn how to be a powerful Public Speaker and Presenter just by attending a one- or two-day course or a seminar. You cannot become proficient in a week – same as you cannot become a concert standard violinist in a week.

In my Public Speaking Masterclass you will get a comprehensive overview of the essentials of effective and dynamic public speaking and delivering presentations. This is an effective introduction giving invaluable tips and techniques but you will need more in-depth training to really progress as a Public Speaker. My tailor-made Public Speaking Courses are run over 4, 8 and 12 weeks giving participants time to develop their speaking and presentation skills.

No gobbledygook on my Public Speaking Courses!

Are you put off by technical terms and jargon? I don’t bombard course participants with complicated things that take time to understand. Directors and leaders are busy people.

Public Speaking isn’t rocket science! I use advanced techniques but keep it simple. Most of us just need to be able to feel confident and be proficient when we speak in public in our company roles. Whatever your competency as a Public Speaker I can help you better your skill.

What I offer is very different. I am creative and think outside the box. Your Public Speaking Training and Coaching Sessions will be fun and interactive. I encourage participants to bounce ideas off each other and to experiment with their public speaking.

I am an old punk rocker and a rebel at heart so will bring spirit and energy to the room. Don’t worry, I’m not an anarchist, rather I bring all my many years’ experience as a successful Director and leader.
